The Swan Valley wine region is only fifteen minutes drive which offers world class wines great scenery and restaurants. The historic Mundaring weir is about 30 minute drive through the hills, this is the start of the Perth to Gold fields water pipe line still listed as one of the world great engineer achievements. The Old Mundaring Weir hotel provides great meals.

There is ample secure parking in this tranquil setting, the bus runs past the cottage. Doctors pharmacy and general shopping is available in Forrestfield, High Wycombe or Kalamunda only five minutes drive.
